What documents are required to apply for an international/domestic travel license?

To be granted a license, businesses need to prepare a dossier including the following basic documents:

• Application for a Travel Service Business License (according to prescribed form).
• Certified copy of Business Registration Certificate.
• Certificate of deposit for travel service business at the bank.
• Certified copies of diplomas and certificates of the person in charge of travel service business and appointment decision or labor contract between the enterprise and the person in charge.

Deposit conditions and licensing fees

• Travel service business deposit level (in Vietnamese Dong at the bank):
  • Domestic travel: 100,000,000 VND.
  • International travel:
    • International tourists to Vietnam: 250,000,000 VND.
    • Tourists going abroad or both types above: 500,000,000 VND.
  • Note: The deposit must be maintained throughout the period the enterprise operates travel services.
• Fee for appraisal of Travel License issuance (according to Circular 43/2024/TT-BTC):
  • From 01/07/2024 – 31/12/2024:
    • New license: 1,500,000 VND/license.
    • Renewal fee: 1,000,000 VND/license.
    • Re-issue: 750,000 VND/license.
  • From 01/01/2025: The fee will double compared to the above period.
